Deck/Stew

CC4501 - 26 metre Sailing Yacht

We are currently looking for a Deck/Stew/Cook to join a Private 26m Sailing Yacht that is currently in the Med. You must have previous sailing experience and be comfortable with handling these roles as it will be the Captain and yourself on board with the owners. This will be a full-time role.

We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude and who is looking to gain longevity and to further their skill set. You will need to have strong skills in deck maintenance including sanding, caulking, teak maintenance and varnishing. You will also be required to hold your Yachtmaster Offshore.

You will be required to cook for the owner and his wife, therefore you will need to have previous culinary experience. They enjoy eating good, healthy food and you will have to be able to adhere to minor dietary requirements.

You will also be expected to carry out interior duties such as beds and heads, as well as interior detailing.

Salary: EUR 2600 - 2700

Cook / Stewardess

CC4491 - 18 metre Sailing Yacht

We have a great Cook/Stew position for a "Newbie" to yachting. We are looking for someone based near the South Coast of the UK so you are welcome to go home in the evenings. This is a seasonal position from May - September, sailing trips will be ad hoc so flexibility is a must. It will be privately used by owners on the South Coast of the UK along with day charter for guests.  The current itinerary is to head West along the coast and across to the Scilly Islands with the owners.

Owners tend to eat ashore frequently but when onboard they are looking for well presented healthy food. Interior cleaning and provisioning will fall under your responsibilities. Sailing experience is not essential but you will be expected to help on deck with mooring and putting sails up and down. When the yacht is back in Poole you will be able to go home and sleep in your own bed. 

STCW & ENG1, Food Hygiene Level 2 required.

We are looking for a Sole Chef for the 43m Sloop. The position will start when the boat returns to the Med in Palma around May. Summer plans are a "typical" Med Season. The owners enjoy a healthy diet with lots of seafood.

We are looking for a crew member who can maintain excellent standards for the crew of 6 during long trips and boss trips and they must enjoy sailing and be a team player. The candidate can be either male or female.

Looking for a Sole Chef for this 34m Sailing Yacht that will be cruising the Med. Specifics have not yet been confirmed due to awaiting the ease of lockdown in areas around the Med. There will be mainly owner cruising but there is a possibility that there is a couple of confirmed charters. So the search is on for a well seasoned, competent chef with lovely food, a wide range of cuisines in your repertoire and of course be able to adapt to any food allergies or special dietary requirements.

The owner is an avid sailor so someone used to being on deck and comfortable with the motion of a sailing yacht is vital, you will be expected to be up there and being an active part of the crew.  You will need to cater to 5 crew who will be happy with a varied, healthy, fresh diet. The owner really enjoys his meats so you have to be able to cook a mean steak. We do have a preference sheet so I can inform all candidates during our interview.

We are looking for a good experienced Chef both with a history in restaurants and a solid yacht or two. Requirements range from haute cuisine, healthy/clean, vegetarian to schnitzel or spaghetti bolognese with a strong eye for presentation, and punctuality. Sous Chef

CC4382 - 70 metre Motor Yacht

Our galley department is on the hunt for a full-time Second Chef for this 70m Plus M/Y - working alongside the rotational Head Chefs and a Third Chef. Start date is to aim for mid-April.

Our client is looking for someone who is healthy, well presented, fluent in English, with high-end restaurant experience and living in and around Europe. Previous yacht experience is preferred but not required. The second chef is responsible for planning and cooking Crew food for 26, with the support and assistance of the Third Chef, as well as assisting the Head Chef with cooking and serving of guest food. You will also be required to collaborate on new ideas for guest menus where needed. Baking, pastry and dessert skills are advantageous with a broad range of food knowledge in many cuisines.

Crew meals must be of a high standard with a generous food budget and an important fixture in maintaining crew health and morale. Any crew dietary requirements must be catered to. The candidate must be willing to adhere to guest preferences including preparing children's food and fulfilling any last-minute requests or changes.

Daily tasks also include: Stock control, maintaining galley and store cleanliness, stores temperature control and recording.

  • All relevant STCW certificates - with good dates
  • ENG1 - recently renewed
  • Cert ii (minimum) Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Land-based chef qualification or Ship's Cook Certificate (or is willing to get Certified)
  • Drivers License
  • Security training certificate
